Chef Dennis Wilson

Chef Dennis Wilson was born into the kitchen at the age of 16, working the grill at a local burger joint. He fell in love with the breathing beast that is a restaurant and hasn't looked back since. He continued working through the restaurants and pizza joints in the area until making the ultimate decision that this was going to be his life and joined Connecticut culinary institute.

Since that decision he trained under French, Italian, American and James Beard awarded chefs. After years of training and fine-tuning techniques and styles he took over the executive chef position at the Lenox hotel in 2006. There he learned what it meant to be a chef at a very popular hotel in the heart of Boston. Fast paced continually reimagining what the infinite possibilities that food has to offer. The Hotel itself had 3 stand-alone restaurants, Azure (later re-concepted to City Table), Solas, and City bar, and a banquet wedding facility.

After seven, very eventful years at the hotel, the Briar Group approached him with the opportunity of opening a venue in Boston seaport area named District Hall with a stand-alone restaurant named Gather with a coffee shop that goes by the name Brew.

His favorite things are interacting with guests, teaching and training staff about the knowledge he's gained over the years. Dennis understands that culinary skills and studies is a process that is infinite and can never be perfected. But that doesn't stop him from trying.
